Advertising Spend Shifts To Online

I don’t need any convincing that the online information service providers are set to continue to fly in the coming year as we have been experiencing the shift to more online usage since moving to the eMagazine format with ITIB back in 2008.

We see it firsthand every day and the global shift is showing no signs of slowing down.  More and more advertising dollars from large corporates and SME’s are being diverted to online marketing efforts and the research tells us this is only going to increase in years to come.

A move away from cabled phone systems, to wireless systems is also tipped according to IBISWorld’s latest report.  See the full story which details the industries set to fly and fall in the new financial year -

We are delighted to be the naming rights sponsor for the In Touch In Business 2010 Cairns Regional Barista Competition at The Cairns Show.

For all you coffee buffs out there make sure you get on down to the Cairns show and taste some of what the local barista talent have to offer.

The Inaugural Cairns Regional Barista Competition was a great success at the 2009 Cairns Show.  Nigel Giacomi, winner of the Inaugural Competition went on to represent Cairns at the Queensland finals in Brisbane.

The 2010 In Touch In Business Cairns Regional Barista Competition will again be held at the Cairns Show to showcase and promote the expertise, creativity and talent of top local Baristas in the art of brewing and serving specialty coffee.

Co-organised by the Cairns Show Association and the Australasian Specialty Coffee Association (AASCA), the event will be held at the Annual Cairns Show 21st - 23rd July.

The  event is sanctioned under AASCA guidelines and will be conducted under World Barista Competition Rules, providing an automatic place for the winner to compete in the Queensland Championships and if successful then progress to the  Australian and World Championships.

2010 Head Judge is Mr Saxon Wright - Owner of Australian Independent Roasters since 2003.

Saxon is dedicated to producing excellence in the art of coffee roasting and he is a World Barista Competition Accredited Judge who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the event.

Additional judges include Mr Phil McKnight, owner of Swerve Café and Espresso Bar, Mosman, Sydney.

This is a fantastic opportunity to promote the coffee industry in North Queensland and for competitors to gain recognition in their industry and ITIB is proud to be a part of it.

We look forward to seeing you at the show to taste the coffee splendour with us!
